The Ascender Eagle prototype is perfect for the razor collector. Extremely rare, the eagle prototype comes with three baseplates. You will be able to see how development progressed to the production razor and the baseplate that we eventually settled on. My perception is that the prototype is more aggressive than the production razor but, your experience may differ.
This razor was used by one of the testers. In excellent condition, it is not brand new.
The Ascender Eagle was designed and produced by Ross Hjelmgren -the original machinist and a chief designer of Paradigm razors. Made in the heartland of America near St. Paul Minnesota, the Eagle is destined to be a collectors piece. From the intricate knurling pattern to the subtly tapered handle, the razor definitely has a "wow" factor about it. The shave itself can best be categorized as mid aggressive with a slightly blade forward design. There is definitely a bit of blade feel but nothing that is distracting or uncomfortable.
