This is one of the rare instances where a soap is reformulated and improved. The new Tallow Free version lathers like a champ and produces ultra slick, thick and creamy lather. With a healthy dose of lanolin, this soap offers excellent skin care along with the top shelf performance. As much as I liked the original Mitchell's Wool Fat, I like this version 10x better.
Made in Bradford, England, this delicately scented shaving soap was born almost a century ago, when chemist Fred Mitchell discovered it was the lanolin in wool fat that was keeping the hands of local sheep shearers and wool sorters so unnaturally soft. Mitchell's wool fat soap continues to use lanolin and other organic ingredients that soothe sensitive skin.
