The Shield Stomper Has Arrived

The Shield Stomper is CNC machined out of Titanium and is designed to use half of a DE blade. Weighing in at only 68g, it is light and nimble. I would characterize it as a mild razor but not at all in a bad way. It is mild enough that you can let your mind wander while shaving without the threat of nicking yourself yet, it is efficient enough to deliver a BBS shave in two passes plus minor touch up. This is definitely a razor that you can comfortably use everyday.

The Stomper takes standard DE blades but, it only takes half a blade. In order to safely break a blade in half, do so while the blade is still in the wax paper that it comes in. I have used the Stomper with Astra blades, Gillette Platinum blades and Gillette Yellow blades with outstanding results. 

Shield has really stepped up their game. The machining and polishing on this razor is excellent and it punches way past its price point. Think of it as an heirloom quality razor and an affordable price. The Stomper is suitable for both beginning and seasoned wet shavers.
