Heinrich Thater (1913 -2023) Goodbye Old Friend

Heinrich Thater has been making superb hand tied shaving brushes since 1913 in Germany. They have survived two world wars, The Spanish Flu, The Great Depression, The Cold War and so much more. Unfortunately, this 110 year old company was brought to its knees by the COVID Pandemic of 2020 and the resultant supply chain issues. I received noticed late last week that they are closing their doors for good. 

Known for their extremely high quality silvertip badger brushes, H.L. Thater recently added several high quality synthetic options as well. Our stock of brushes is dwindling quickly and we will not be able to restock. If you have been thinking of adding a Thater brush to your collection, be sure to act quickly before its too late. When these brushes are gone, they are gone for good.
