Sharks are not Feathers and thank goodness for that. People who write blade reviews tend to fetishize sharpness but a happy shave is about more than that. I want a blade that is sharp enough but forgiving enough that I can finish without bleeding. For me, the Sharks hit that sweet spot. I am a demanding shaver -- I shave in the shower without creams or lubricants using a Leresche razor. The Sharks are one of the few blades that allow me to do that without cutting my cheeks to ribbons. The negative reviews here prompted me to write this -- I've used the blades for 10 years and swear by them. They deserve better than the other reviews here suggest.
The first pack I bought worked very nicely, but the second one came with several dull blades, making it impossible to shave with them.
Sharks belong to a wide category of blades somewhere in the middle of performance. They aren't BAD like a few infamous names or GREAT like a few others. A superior soap or cream is a must and combined will give a good shave. If you find that combination these 'middle' blades are outstanding bulk buys to save money. use an inferior soap and the shark will bite.
