Produces a thick, rich and slick lather that moisturizes nicely. Doesn’t require much to fully charge the brushes I’ve used thus far. Fragrance is is lovely. I find nothing to complain about nor am I left feeling disappointed in any way. Very pleased with this soap — and it comes in nicely packaged. Are there similar performers at a fraction of the price? Yes, but it’s still a damn fine shave soap.
Received product in a timely manner. SP70 is a great soap. Excellent easy to make lather. Wonderful lather with good protection and glide and the aroma!
SV 70th is now in permanent rotation after 1 shave. After finishing SMN I searched for a viable alternative and got it with SV 70th. Slick slick slick lather. Nice subtle aroma. Glide beyond words. Extremely nice post shave protection. SV 70th is an A+ soap all around.
The SV 70th Anniversary Beta 4.1 was my introduction to SV line of shaving soaps. It quickly became my favorite. What is not to like about this shaving soap? It is a vegetal based soap that is easy to lather, has great slickness and cushion, and one of the best scents you will find in a shaving soap. I load my brush right from the tin and than create dense lather in a lather bowl. Makes shaving a pleasure rather than a chore. This shaving soap is a little on the expensive side but once you try one SV shaving soap, you will want to try them all!
OK, so I'm a little late getting this soap. I know all about the beta numbers etc., but I wanted this particular soap. The scent hasn't been recreated by SV in any other soap. This is great performing soap, cushion and glide is right on. I haven't loaded a brush in the tin, rather being a hard milled puck, I just remove it and scrape some soap from the bottom into my lather bowl and produce a nice thick, rich, creamy lather. Finding the forgiving ratio of water to soap is easy enough. Yeah, this is super soap in my book. Easy to use, easy to like.
