Merkur 37C Slant Bar Double Edge Safety Razor
If you have a heavy beard and sensitive skin, the slant may be just for you. This Article explains the theory behind the slant and why it may be a more effective way to whack your whiskers. Contrary to popular belief, the slant is not overly aggressive but rather, is simply efficient. The slanted head exposes more of the blade at one end and is very similar to the cutting angle of a straight razor. As a result, the 37C is ideal for cutting through heavy beards and tough stubble. It is just the tool you need if you happen to miss a day shaving and have a day or two of growth although it is also perfectly adept as a daily shaver. Bullgoose Shaving Supplies has just what you need to scratch that slant itch and to fuel your acquisition disorders.

I ordered the slant razor by mistake. When I opened the box I thought the razor had been bent in shipping. Then I started reading. I’ve used it for a week or and I like it. I use a very light touch and my shaves are closer than the conventional double edge I had been using.
Have used a double edge razor for years. Finally ordered the 37C, and yes, it takes double edge shaving to a new level. It is now my daily razor. Tight, clean and reliable shaves every time. A light touch is all that's needed.
This Merkur slant edge replacement is #5.Golng back to when they came in a plastic case, that I still have.
Shave angle similar to straight edge razor. Not entry level for the new to double edge users.
Excellent shave, like going to the barbershop 💈 Pamper yourself if you have the time
I didn't know what to expect with my first slant bar razor. My first shave was very comfortable and close. This razor feels much less aggressive than my Merker 34C but gives the same close shave. It quickly became my razor of choice and I now use it daily. Just take it easy against the grain under the nose.
If you've used any Merkur the slant is like picking up an old friend. I first used mine on 6 day's beard with a still swollen jaw- not the best of times to play with new toys. But after my HD it was BTDT except under the nose and I slowed down with some foreboding of doom. I escaped unscathed. The whole slant concept is interesting and the Merkur an inexpensive introduction if you slide down the incline of collecting.
