Gillette Platinum DE Blades -Box of 50 Blades
We just received a shipment of Gillette Platinum DE blades from the St. Petersburg plant in Russia. These blades are supposedly exactly the same as the legendary and vintage Gillette Swede blades that you have heard so much about.
The blades are incredibly sharp, smooth, comfortable and durable. They are probably a touch less sharp than Feather blades but -they are infinitely smoother and more durable.
Sold in boxes of 50, these blades are hard to come by. Be sure to grab some while we can still get them.

These blades deliver a smooth and comfortable shave. They are very efficient and seem durable as well. Don’t believe you could get an unpleasant shaving experience using these blades.
I really wanted to try these blades because of the hype they have received. I have used several Gillette blades from Russia. Nacets, platinums (different packaging from these), perma-sharps, silver blues, 7 o’clock (yellow). These are a very smooth blade but not very sharp. They are sharp enough to cut my beard but I have several other blades that I prefer. I have a very corse beard and shave daily so I need a good 24 hour shave. These worked ok for that but they don’t beat my personna platinum (red) blades. These blades were a little “tuggy” but didn’t cause me irritation or discomfort. Blades are subjective so I’m not trying to be very critical here but they are just not 100% for me. I think the “other” Gillette platinums, nacets, silver blues, and perma sharps and especially personna platinums are better blades for me. They are all sharper and work better with my beard. If you are a guy with a below average thickness, less corse beard I think these blades would fall right into place for you, just my opinion. They definitely would work very well for some guys/ladies, but I have better options for myself personally. So, minus one star for an ok shave they gave me and minus one star for being expensive from Bullgoose. You can get double the amount of blades for around $22 from Gillette that may do a better job for you. Nothing against bullgoose at all for this review. Phil is a top notch guy with top notch service. His communication is great and he takes care of his customers.
That pretty much sums it up. The blades are consistently sharp and smooth, and work great in every razor in my rotation. I might even like them more than Med Preps and IPs (gasp!).
To be honest, let me start out by saying I haven't tried the Gillette Swedes yet, mainly because I Shave every other day. As I've heard, they shave better than the "regular" Gillette Platinums. Since I like the regular Gillette Platinums, I'm sure I will like these.
I really like these blades and they have become my new default, go to for all of my razors. Smooth yet sharp, and last 4-uses for me (that’s as long as I used any DE blade, all at least twice).
I will prob use up all of these blades before using any others in my stash.
