Long-Handled Mergress Adjustable Safefy Razor
The Long-Handled Mergress Adjustable Safety Razor is perfect for those with larger hands and for those that prefer a slightly longer razor. Like the other razors in the Mergress family, Eric (Mer) Maier, takes a Merkur Progress razor (a long-handled version in this case) and improves upon it by adding a machined Stainless Steel adjustment knob, and an adjustment dot while also calibrating the adjustment and smoothing out the action. It is a very smooth shaver that looks great while displayed in your shave cave and can be dialed in anywhere from mild to wild depending on your shaving preference and beard type.

Thanks to bullgoose shaving for quick processing and shipping my mergress razor. Mergress long handle is just beautiful!! The shave is smooth and consistent. The settings on razor are in line with aggressiveness and mildness. I look forward to my shaves and enjoy using this razor.
I own two Mergress razors, the Long handle and the XL. Both razors give me consistently great shaves and I would not want my shave den to be without one of these gems. One can spend 2 or 3 times the cost of these razors, but in the end its the shave that counts. These razors combined with one's favorite razor blade equals a great shave.
Just received the Mergress long handle razor and finished my first shave. Great razor, well constructed and is nicely balanced. The razors mechanics are tight but move smoothly and easly. Fast delivery, considering the current times, I recommend this razor and we'll worth the money.
This is my first adjustable razor, been wet shaving over 30 years, and I'm wondering why I waited so long. I started out at the 1 setting and dialed it up one spot at a time. Took me about a week of shaves to get to 4 and I'm pretty sure that's where it's going to stay. It gives a nice close shave with no self sacrifice (unless I'm careless). Since moving to the razor I've only gone back a few times. It is now pretty much my daily razor. It is a well built sturdy razor. It is a bit heavy, but that works well with the long handle so not a negative in the long run. If you're looking to try an adjustable this is a good place to start, and probably end, the search.
A really first class razor, I feel my other collection of razors are now redundant.
