H.L. Thater Tortoise Resin Beehive Brush in Two-Band Silvertip Badger (Fan)
Our H.L. Thater Beehive collection is growing. The tortoise resin beehive brush utilizes Thater's highly acclaimed two band silvertip badger hair in a very ergonomic beehive handle. This brush combines soft tips, moderate backbone and superior flow through....especially once the brush breaks in. It is suitable for both hard soaps and soft creams and is great for both face lathering and bowl lathering.

This is my first Täther brush , but not The last... ;-)
This is The best for my brushes.
I recently purchased the two-band silver tipped badger (fan shaped) Thater shaving brush with beehive handle in the tortoise resin color.
This, by far, already my favorite brush (and I have an impressive panoply of brushes with which to compare it).
Wonderfully dense knot, almost no shedding after multiple shaves, great body in the bristles whose tips nevertheless deliver a delightfully soft face feel.
Lathering, whether on the face or from a bowl or scuttle, is like magic and due to the shape of this knot, can be applied so neatly. The knot holds a massive amount of lather.
The handle provides a stable and comfortable grip, and the entire brush is aesthetically pleasing and masculine.
Although not inexpensive, this brush is worth every penny. It simply reeks of quality. Top shelf.
Great brush and great looking handle. This is my 5th Thater, I had already a 26mm two-band fan brush, but I was lusting after the beehive handle... The knot has soft tips and good backbone, and the quality is such that I have not lost one hair yet out of my five Thaters. Life is too short, might as well splurge on some luxury!
This brush, like all Thäters, is very well made. The 2 band hair is excellent, a bit thicker than 3 band yet very soft to the skin.
More than the beehive handle I was interested to see how a shorter fan would perform, compared to other Thäther from the classical line.
And it is excellent ! Some more backbone, just right to provide a bit of soft scrub/massage without sacrificing flow through even though the knot feels dense. It splays well without feeling like a mop at all.
This brush need a little breaking in to express its full potential, but when bloomed it is a real performer and a lather machine.
I am very happy with my purchase and if I wouldn't be a forever curious person about other new brushes, I might buy a second for backup.
If you want a well balanced, soft fan knot with backbone, that's a stunning exemplar.
Phil, as always, was great to deal with.
