Vie-Long 2019 TSN Limited Edition Shaving Brush -European White Badger
We commissioned Vie-Long to make a Special Anniversary brush for the Shave Nook and, they came through with flying colors. The brush utilizes a really high grade of European White Badger. The Master Brush makers at Vie-Long hand tied the knots to produce a dense knot with very soft tips and good flow through.
Each piece of the two tone handle is turned from heavy duty resin and hand assembled and, each brush has an individual serial number (1 to 100). Only 100 of these brushes are available so, grab one while you can.

This brush is as good as the best Simpson brush
The Vie-Long 2019 TSN Limited Edition brush has become my absolute favorite. The European White Badger knot is densely packed with the softest hair I have ever felt. And yet, it has excellent flow through. The handle is exceedingly comfortable. Trust me, you are going to want this brush but it’s a limited edition so don’t wait. Mine is #60 and they only made 100
I've been looking forward to this brush's debut for a couple of months. It is understated, but stylish and has fantastic proportions. The knot has excellent shape and structure and does not deform after drying. I found the included brush stand to be too narrow though, and so use the HL Thater one that I'd bought previously. The knot really hits the sweet spot in use. I would say it's got more backbone than a Thater brush and is therefore just a little scratchier. That may dissipate with more use, however. What I really appreciate about it, though, is its flow through. I love Paladin knots, but I always feel that they're a little too dense. It feels like I'm rubbing a solid tube of bristles on my face. The Vielong has nice splay and does well with soaps that tend towards more lather and cushion such as Le Pere Lucien, for instance. The price has gone up since its first release, but it's still a bargain at its current price. I have associated Vielong with lower-end horse hair brushes, but this latest effort clearly shows that they have the skills to produce a world-class brush.
I have used this brush for about a week now and I really like it. I prefer a brush with backbone and a longer handle. This brush fits the bill.

I have #9. It is a very we made brush. The tips are very soft and it has sufficient backbone for brush loading and lathering. I bowl lather, so backbone is important. The brush splays nicely when applying lather to the skin. This brush is comparable in quality to the top tier badger brushes I own (M&F, Paladin, Brad Sears, Thater, Shavemac).
