My whole family uses whatever blades we buy, we get them by the hundred to save a little money. This time, we got Lord blades. I was the first to try one. I like that there’s no wax spots on the blades to hold the wrapping paper. There’s no wax to stick to the razor.
These blades do everything I expect of a double-edged razor blade. To remove a few days of caveman beard growth from my neck, I tried one in my Pils 101NE razor. Nice and smooth, no tugging or harshness. The blade delivered a nice, smooth, uneventful shave.
After finding these blades, I've stopped shopping for something better. They deliver precisely what I expect from any razor I put them in. No irritation, no tugging, and very little effort involved in getting a close shave.
I use these to shave my head exclusively. Also, I have only used these blades with my Muhle R41 Twist Safety Razor, which is a more mild razor. Together, the two are an ideal match for me. I have used these blades for several years now. They are very consistent out of the package. On rare occasion, a blade may not be as comfortable as the others, but it is rare. I tend to shave confidently, but respectfully with these. I have a variety of hair types on my head from very soft on top to quite whiskerey on the sides and back. Yet, these blades handle it all very well. Also, my skin is quite different whether it be my neck, temples, or top of my head. Again, these blades, in this setup, are quite satisfying. My satisfaction is proven by my purchase of 100 at a time, which is also an excellent value. I recommend the Lord Platinum very highly. Given all that and the excellent price, I would certainly try them.
Lords are a attractive blade for both price and performance. I found they gave best service in a mild razor. They don't have quite the smooth cut of a Polsilver but used slowly with deliberation give very good shaves.
